Position Summary:
As part of the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) tech organization, this role will be a crucial leader of our acquisitions, incubators and divestiture program engagement with our stakeholders. This leader will be accountable for all aspects of technology integration programs to ensure completion on time and within budget. This role will participate in due diligence, solution design, integration planning, divestiture planning and lead transition from a technology perspective. This leader will establish and maintain the working relationship with all stakeholders, within Technology and the Corporate Development. You will work collaboratively with product management and engineering teams to ensure on time delivery with quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building strong strategic relationships – manage numerous stakeholders, anticipate their needs, and gain alignment for strategies from executive level stakeholders to achieve goals
- Developing M&A technology team – influence M&A technology organization with well-defined processes and best practice to improve the efficiency in program execution.
- Leading M&A technology activities – directly partner with corporate development and Walmart Global Technology to deliver key strategic Walmart goals
- Operating with excellence – Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
- Building engagement with cross functional teams – drive engagement with hundreds of product management and engineering teams within Walmart Global Technology to align the execution of critical business initiatives & programs and ensure successful delivery.
- Driving execution of business initiatives – work with product management and engineering teams to define key milestones for business initiatives and drive the execution to complete all deliverables in time
- Articulating program success – present program success to executives with strong communication skills (oral, verbal and listening) as well as the ability to influence key decision makers and understand their points of view
Required Education & Experience:
- Results oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize details with the big picture in mind
- 2+ years’ experience with divestitures and/or post-acquisition integrations
- Ability to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and break down high-level information into details
- Experienced project leader successfully managed multiple projects (4-7) in varying stages at the same time, who is capable of operating on senior management levels, with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Direct experience in due diligence and integration planning and execution at a publicly traded company or recognized consulting firm a plus.
- Proactive and displays initiative: Seeks out information, answers, etc. without needing to be pushed to do so
- Successfully engages in multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Proven program management skills to organize and manage cross-functional projects, such as M&A, organizational change, operational restructuring, business process redesign, and systems implementations
