Position Summary:
The Vodafone Business Digital & IT organisation designs and delivers innovative technology solutions to drive and sustain Vodafone Business growth, across all its segments (SoHo, SME, Large & Multinational Enterprises). The scope of internal customers is broad,and includes four lines of businesses (Vodafone Global Enterprise, Vodafone Carrier Services, Internet of Things, and Cloud & Hosting Services), Business Strategy & Transformation, Product Management, Sales, and Global Operations.
The function also builds reusable and redeployable technology assets that cater to the IT needs of Enterprise Business Units (EBUs) in a number of Vodafone Local Markets. As part of our transformation into delivering more business value through Agile, we are growing our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile delivery team capability.
As a Technical Delivery Manager, your role is to support a number of critical elements, flexing between the Agile Release Trains and consumers of these trains to ensure delivery of projects where dependencies sit outside of these trains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a virtual team of Developers focusing on supporting the design/ deployment of business critical solutions using Microsoft/ Java/ Python etc
- Coordination on the removal of impediments in the organization for the team to deliver against objectives or escalate appropriately – reduction of manual intervention etc
- Support the interlock between integration programmes with Vodafone Business Customers and VBIT
- Support the evolution of the Delivery Factory & Delivery Operating Model to one team culture
- Contribute to budget planning
- Embed a spirit of Innovation
- Help manage the interlock/ dependency management between the Run & Build Domain(s) and external delivery teams.
- Working with the VBIT Dev Ops Lead & Domain Lead to support continually coaching and shaping team practices to ensure they perform at their best and are aligned between OnShore and OffShore teams.
- Validate project plans for technical deliverables produced by SIs and Vodafone teams
- Work with the Domain Lead to set long term technical direction amongst Domains to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Shape and improve Software Engineering practices including design principles, DevSecOps and governance
Required Education & Experience:
- Proven experience of delivery in an agile environment, ideally with a range of methodologies (such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP, Prince etc.).
- Highly motivated, autonomous individual with strong methodological background and focus on business needs
- Ability to build influential and effective relationships with senior business stakeholders.
- Govern, control and proactively resolve issues across customer/ project and process on boarding which could adversely impact the customer experience driven through data driven decisions backed by reporting, effective escalation management and continuous process improvement.
- Knowledge skill set around leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency Operational leadership skills and organisational experience
- Knowledge/ hands on experience of full stack development
