Position Summary:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for delivering stock control support in order to process vehicle stock transactions accurately and timeously through the execution of predefined work objectives as per agreed standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key Control (Master and Spare).
  • Vehicle Stock Takes.
  • Invoicing of Vehicles.
  • All Vehicle Orders (Recon, transport etc).
  • Accurately and timeously invoice suppliers, where applicable.
  • To arrange with dealers on collection of Natis and Spare keys for vehicles invoiced. And to courier outlying dealers.
  • To liaise with Kia Distribution on Deliveries of vehicles invoiced.
  • To ensure that all debtor vat registration numbers appear on invoice.
  • Month stock and sales reports.
  • All vehicles are to checked for any damages scratches/dents.
  • Ensure vin no’s agree to delivery note.
  • Ensure spare keys, spare tyre, lighters, tools are in vehicle.
  • Record all damages, tools/spare tyre, lighter not received on delivery note.
  • Ensure vehicles are stocked correctly, and attention paid to detail.
  • Ensure correct paper trail of vehicles stocked and vehicles sold. (Deal files/stock numbers etc)
  • Tag both keys and split spare keys. (Lock up separately with tools until sold).
  • Follow up on long outstanding transit vehicles (More than 14 Days)
  • All keys to be locked away in key safe.
  • Key cabinet to be locked at all times.
  • Ensure a key register is in place and all keys to be booked in and out.
  • Spare keys to be split on receipt of vehicle.
  • To liaise with Kia Distribution on Deliveries of vehicles invoiced.
  • To ensure that all debtor vat registration numbers appear on invoice.
  • Ensure all trade ins have been brought into stock at correctly stand in value.
  • Ensure all buy-ins/trade-ins have been brought into stock at correctly stand in value.
  • Ensure all Natis and Spare keys are couriered timeously to dealers.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Min Matric Qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Stock Controller in the automotive retail industry.
  • Autoline/Drive system experience preferable.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have advanced excel skills
  • Well – developed people management skills
  • Excellent product knowledge
  • Knowledge and understanding of SCM Technical Competencies
