Position Summary:

To assess and evaluate lending applications for Personal and Lifestyle clients in a high-volume environment, based on sound credit risk and affordability assessments, financial principles and credit policies which will support growth of the asset book of the bank and manage credit losses by ensuring sound lending credit principles are applied at all times and that lending is within the Bank’s risk appetite parameters. This includes a limited variety of lending products for Personal and Lifestyle clients. Many credit assessments will be based on a “refer”/ ‘decline” decision from a scorecard or LRDA (Limit Review Delegated Authority). Support business partners in understanding and meeting client lending needs as appropriate in a high-volume environment. The jobholder may operate in one or more of the segments (Personal and/or Lifestyle) as required by business needs. Including but not limited to credit evaluation, client engagement, credit risk management, Management information and stakeholder management.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 3-4 Years experience in credit risk and/or intuitive credit assessment and decisioning in relevant segment and products. Knowledge and understanding of simple financial statements and cash flow forecasts. Knowledge and understanding of repayment structures and collateral. Understanding of collection processes within the banking environment is beneficial.
  • Other Minimum Qualifications, Certifications or Professional Memberships: Credit diploma or other relevant credit or on-the-job training
