Position Summary:

The COVID-19 vaccination requirement for federal employees pursuant to Executive Order 14043 does not currently apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Walking with heavy packs of instruments and equipment.
  • Driving vehicles over rough terrain.
  • Assist professional Land Surveyors in measuring or determining distances, elevations, areas, angles, land boundaries, and other features of the earth’s surface.
  • Operate instruments and use application of techniques to obtain the required skill and accuracy.
  • Clearing timber and undergrowth.
  • Assist Land Surveyors in setting survey monuments (digging holes with shovels and rock bars for prolonged periods).

Required Education & Experience:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Direct Deposit Required.
  • Education: Successful completion of 2 years of postsecondary education that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as surveying, engineering, industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, forestry, geography, navigation, cartography, physical science, or mathematics.
  • You cannot hold an active real estate license: nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands.
