Position Summary:
As a Tesla Trainer you will be primarily responsible for conducting Instructor Led Trainings (ILT) for our Internal and External Service Teams so that our workforce is knowledgeable and adheres to the best practices of the company. This will be accomplished through New Hire Onboarding, task qualifications programs, and continuing education courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on, instructor-led, and virtual training sessions for groups of various sizes
- Stay abreast of process and policy changes that effect Tesla energy employees and customers
- Work closely with managers and stakeholders to support training requests
- Facilitate trainings for new hires and existing employees
- Meet regularly with other trainers to share best practices and ensure alignment between the training programs and overall team vision
- Maintain expert level knowledge of our products
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with Installation, Quality, Service, and EHS teams
- Overall responsibility for enhancing training content including:
- Responsible for finding exciting and creative ways to deliver training information and material
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements that increase field safety, efficiency, and quality
- Drive other projects as needed by executives or as business needs change
- Actively engages in creating a positive work environment by demonstrating accountability, confidence, and commitment in own and others’ actions and decisions
- Be spokesperson for Energy Training in their assigned location and provide VIP assistance to and representation of Energy Training to any and all special guests and visitors
- Ability to effectively plan and execute events, outings, and organize shadowing for special guests and special events
Required Education & Experience:
- Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required with the proven ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training in non-technical language
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- Proven time management and organizational skills including strong ability to multitask
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related presentation products is required
- Previous Technical, Solar, BESS, or Construction experience is a plus
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
- Friendly, clear, strong speaker with composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be discreet and to keep private or proprietary information confidential
- 3+ years’ experience in the training field or related area
- Able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, such as a start-up or transitional operation
