Position Summary:

DTA delivers innovative solutions for new products and initiatives, leading the way in areas of data, from delivering business critical reporting, to providing an essential analytics platform to an elite team of data scientists and analysts. Our solutions are essential to hundreds of users, providing key insights on Sky’s customers, products and viewing content and a whole lot more. The DTA’s elite test team are working on Sky’s state-of-the art Cloud platform and latest technologies driving quality and value to our customers” – Data Engineering Test Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate test estimates to support planning of path to production
Document and validates all test risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
Define, estimate, plan, script and execute tests
Identify, code and maintain automated scripts for regression and integration tests or data creation
Initiate and implement improvements of test process and appropriate tooling and work with and assist other teams within the department, providing technical & domain input
Produce clear and concise documentation of test coverage as agreed with Stakeholders

Required Education & Experience:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment
Experience of ETL technical design, development and support, excellent SQL skills
Experience of Unix and python scripting and comfortable with developing testing capability in automation frameworks
Comprehensive Cloud migration experience
Technology background that includes as many of the following as possible Selenium, Cucumber, LeanFT, Java, Maven, Jenkins, Git, Netezza, Oracle.
In depth understanding of large-scale data, such as data warehouses and their best practice and principles of managing them
