Position Summary:

Provides legendary service to users of the Flight Operations Training Center by maintaining all equipment used is in optimum condition ensuring efficient operation. Maintains required forms, records and equipment logs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run automatic and manual Test Guides on all Devices, interpret and present results to FAA inspectors
  • Modify/Manufacture existing hardware or modify software on Training devices to ensure compliance with FAA requirements
  • Align and calibrate Training devices and their associated equipment to maintain equipment operating requirements
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
  • Complete all assigned training
  • Maintain required forms, records and equipment logs
  • Participate in Acceptance Testing of new or modified devices
  • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
  • Collaborate with Company and/or Vendor’s technical personnel in developing new and or modified equipment design applications
  • Perform operational checks and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is in proper working order and troubleshoot, repair and/or replacement of all Training devices as well as their associated equipment
  • Stay current on the contents in Corporate Field Service Bulletins and Engineering Change Orders
  • Maintain clean and safe workplace

Required Education & Experience:

  • Ability to climb and descend stairs and ladders
  • Must be able to read and accurately apply technical documents, use a computer monitor frequently, understand office procedures, and follow instructions
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Flight Simulator Technician and/or software/hardware manufacturing, avionics maintenance/operation, or comparable formal electrical/mechanical technical training.
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently
  • Must be open minded while working within regulatory constraints
  • Preferred: Valid Passport
  • Must have the ability to use hand tools and test equipment
  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team, professionally interact with other departments, labor groups and possess the ability to handle complex issues
  • Preferred: Technical Training, College coursework or technical degree
  • Must be able to master current and emergent PC software packages
  • Required: Must possess a current valid driver�s license issued in the United States
  • Ability to prioritize job tasks a have a sense of urgency
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Flight Simulation equipment and their maintenance and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills required to communicate in person, via telephone or in writing
  • Must have ability to work under tight time constraints
  • Must be self-motivated

  • Must be highly organized, motivated, and capable of working with a minimum of supervision
  • Must be able to analyze problems and make sound decisions
