Position Summary:
This role is individually accountable for achieving results through others, over periods of 3 months to a year. The focus is the following: execution of the business plan and for governance and compliance at an operational level, preparation of management reports, provision of interpretation of financial data and predictive results, implementation of accounting processes, systems and controls for a product and is responsible for product profitability analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, reports on and interprets cost drivers, KPIs and benchmarks.
- Analyses and reports on variances.
- Provides financial assistance and training to line managers and supporting staff.
- Emphasis of the role is on interpretation and predictive results.
- Responsible for audit liaisons as per tax, legislative and statutory requirements.
- Supports the execution of a business plan and the Wealth strategy.
- Generates internal management reports and financial information.
- Maintains suitable financial control environment.
- Accountable for governance and compliance at an operational level.
- Interacts with business executives and business unit line managers on financial outcomes, expense trends, etc.
- Provides commentary on financial results and implications and advises on corrective action to be taken.
Required Education & Experience:
- Preference for CA, CIMA qualification or related qualification.
- 3 to 5 years related experience, preferable in financial services environment / other commercial experience in the IT tools and data warehousing
- Financial and Management Reporting
- IT skills including data warehousing experience and supporting software applications.
- Power BI or related software application knowledge and experience.
