Position Summary:
The purpose of the position is to help implement and manage all operational transport management activities in South Africa’s parcel delivery business on BluJay with a specific focus on financials and data analysis.
The engagement will focus on the implementation of the solution in alignment with the BluJay Parcel Programme’s scope and timelines as well as to be responsible for the long-term management and maintenance of the solution. Furthermore, there will be a big focus on the integration of new business units (incl. acquisitions) into the platform
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on output (stakeholder management)
- Understand and configuration of financial processes
- Understand and configuration of operational processes
- Serve as support to business on the use of the BPP
- Documentation of configuration in standard defined methods
- Engage with Vendor where needed for support of the product
- Perform QA/ UAT tests on configuration
- End to end ownership of processes in the BPP solution
- Support on business visibility of the BPP and data within it, including but not limited to data reconciliations and in-depth data analysis.
- Engage with stakeholders to source requirements
Required Education & Experience:
- 5+ years in IT as either a developer, configuration specialist or systems analyst or a similar role with a business relationship management and/or data analysis focus.
- Oracle SQL
- Microsoft Excel
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook – advanced
- Any TMS product
- 3 year tertiary qualification, degree or diploma in IT and / or Industrial Engineering – Essential
- PL/SQL or T-SQL.
- Understanding/ Experience in working and creating process flows and data diagrams
- Solid SQL experience
- Solid Excel experience, specifically wrt data analysis and presentation.
- 5+ years’ experience in the transport industry
