Position Summary:

Provision of technical and specialised advice on all aspects of estate and structuring, which includes but is not limited to: Trusts, Wills, estates, insurance, taxation in so far as it relates to Wealth clients (Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and support to Bankers and Investment Managers in order for them to identify opportunities to deliver the total Wealth Client Value Proposition to their clients;
  • Collaborating and/or consulting directly with Wealth clients and related Bankers/Investment Managers/International investment advisors;
  • Provide specialist advice and support in the development of tactical strategy and plans;
  • Ability to support the broader team in revenue generation and the acquisition and retention of ultra high-net worth and Family Office clients via the Fiduciary process;
  • Engagement with Wealth clients to provide holistic and specialised estate planning advice on all aspects of estate and financial planning, which includes but is not limited to: Trusts, Wills, estates, insurance, taxation in so far as it relates to estate planning and structuring, consideration of the impact of marital regime on estate, etc.;
  • Knowledge and understanding of offshore and multi jurisdictional planning.
  • Ability to leverage strong research skills;
  • As part of a national multi-disciplined Centre of Excellence, to assist other specialists with experience and knowledge, as well as peer-reviewing any written advice to clients;
  • Drafting Estate Planning, Business Assurance proposals, insurance quotes, trust audits, will review documents, etc.;
  • Giving effect to the estate planning solutions identified in the proposals, either personally or by way of referral to external provider;

Required Education & Experience:

  • Memberships: FPI, FISA, STEP are advantageous
  • Post graduate qualification in taxation is advantageous
  • Post graduate diploma in financial planning – CFP designation
  • Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Law (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree: LLB (pre-requisite)
