Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support of various platforms (hardware, operating systems, software and systems tools)
  • Ensures The Main Distribution Frame (MDF) room and intermediate distribution frame (IDF) conform to established enterprise/industry standards (BICSI) Building Industry Consulting Service International, (EIA) Electronic Industries Alliance, (TIA)
  • Telecommunications Industry association, responsible for assisting in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for various Critical Infrastructure hardware deployments. (copper backbone cabling, and fiber optic backbone)
  • Monitor, manage and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved
  • Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration and systems programming
  • Implement releases, upgrades and/or changes into the environment
  • Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to define project objectives, develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Guides the development of individuals’ so that they can fulfill current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively.
  • Support regional airports, customer service centers, contact centers and all United facilities. Duties include Walkthroughs, (DT) Digital
  • Technology Equipment, preventative maintenance, mobility product support, (DT) Digital Technology infrastructure support, operational equipment and communication rooms, base location inventory management and supply storage Manage day to day activities for the region.
  • Manage day to day activities for enterprise level support for iOS and Android, Drives AV innovation and standardization across the region, performs CCTV Testing, diagnostics, and repairs of product for the region and the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Provide on-site and on-call 7x24x365 support, as needed

Required Education & Experience:

  • Experience in airline industry
  • Active commitment to self-development
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • BICSI Certification
  • Mobility IOS/Android, Windows, LAN room and (DT) Digital technology Infrastructure experience (Copper, fiber optic)
  • Ability to communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Aptitude for problem solving, looking beyond the obvious and not stopping at the first answer
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • A Bachelors or Associate degree or industry certification in an applicable IT field, or 8+ years of applicable IT experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies
  • Strong level of poise in high pressure environments
