Position Summary:

Executive Protection Program and travels with the CEO/Chair and other executives. The Security Advisor develops and supports security plans and logistics for designated special projects and other high-profile events. As part of fit-for-duty requirements, selected candidates must be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine before starting work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide travel safety and security briefings to flight crews traveling abroad, conduct airport, hotel, and venue security assessments at new destinations.
  • Collaborates with drivers to ensure coordination and facilitation of executive travel to and from local events. Conduct transportation security advances and executive driving services when directed.
  • Coordinate special projects designated by the Manager – Executive Protection and Special Projects, such as Annual Stockholder Meetings, International Board Meetings, Industry conferences, and other high-profile events.
  • Conduct security advances and provide protective services in support of the Executive Protection Program to ensure the effective execution of residential, work, and travel security programs.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including company personnel and contractors, Business Unit management, administrative staff, senior industry peers, government agencies, security vendors, and federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments on domestic travel itineraries for senior executives. Provide risk assessments, develop contingency plans and make recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
  • Provide travel safety and security advice and counsel to U.S.-based employees traveling abroad.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of third-party service providers to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities of office spaces, executive residences, vehicles, and as appropriate for certain events and venues.
  • Travel internationally to provide Executive Protection or support other Global Security requirements as required.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Candidates must be eligible to apply for, and successfully complete a federal background check and training to become an Armed

  • Candidates must hold a valid passport and be able to travel domestically and internationally, while meeting the company’s travel requirements (approximately 40-50%).
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing. Must be comfortable interacting with senior level executives, board members and government representatives.
  • Candidates must be self-directed, demonstrate initiative, be able to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal guidance.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles.
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Valid EMT (Emergency Medical Technicians) Basic certification
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience (law enforcement, military, private sector) with proven experience in executive / dignitary protection, including risk analysis and advance planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work within a team as well as individually, and ability to work long hours including weekends.
  • Master’s Degree
  • Certification in AED/First Aid/CPR, or ability to obtain certification.
  • Foreign language skills
  • International security-related professional experience.
