Position Summary:

The Data Governance Analyst will develop procedures to support the accuracy, security, and integrity of MuleSoft’s Data. They will help maintain best practices regarding data access. Provide expertise, guidance, and support in establishing, operationalizing and sustaining a data governance program that identifies, defines, manages and publishes data standards and policies In collaboration with Business Ops Team Members, the Product Team and other team members establish the appropriate protocols for keeping data, develop tools and methods for MuleSoft to oversee our data. Provide management with recommendations about how to best govern the use of an access to the information. Experience with database languages such as SQL, SOSL, in addition to analytical problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed knowledge of our data, data flows and processes
  • Document the business process flows, business rules and data flow of data elements within Salesforce.
  • Work with the business to identify to evaluate data quality standards
  • Assist with the development of the data governance strategy in alignment with the overall data standards for the organization
  • Serve as liaison with Data/Technology teams to apply data security/compliance requirements in MuleSoft data warehouse
  • Stay abreast of developments and trends in Data Governance
  • Evaluate new data sources and onboarding of the data against the governance framework
  • Reporting data analysis findings to the Business Ops Team to inform business decisions and prioritize governance needs
  • Perform periodic audit on data security/compliance in MuleSoft Data Warehouse
  • Create and monitor program metrics and dashboard reporting for review and presentation

Required Education & Experience:

  • 3 + years experience directly related to the development and maintenance of data Governance/Data Quality.
  • Ability to establish relationships across the MuleSoft and Salesforce
  • Solid understanding of data issues that impact user experience and remediations that need to be implemented to resolve data issues, via business processes and technical capabilities
  • Hands-on experience in data quality, data profiling and data analysis
  • Relationship-drive with the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals
  • Proficiency in data modeling, data mining and data optimization
  • Experience with Python, APEX and/or R a plus
  • Demonstrated experience communicating metadata (data dictionary data lineage)
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to identify, and communicate business risks associated with data quality
  • Knowledge of GDPR and Personal Information Privacy Laws
  • Technical knowledge and experience in data management, data quality and data governance
