Position Summary:

The main purpose of this role is to sign new business for the allocated Branch and meet monthly and annual new business targets. This is done through thourough needs analysis and strategic solution design for clients that benefit both the client and DSV. The creation and implementation of these Solutions should be sustainable and create long lasting partnerships between the client and DSV. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create sustainable value for customers by adopting an innovative approach to their business.
  • Manage client relationship.
  • Meet the expected client call ratio KPI as indicated by your Manager.
  • Competitor and industry analysis.
  • Update and maintain the internal CRM System.
  • Monthly billing and financial reporting.
  • Represent the DSV brand.
  • Sign new business in the Distribution market for the allocated Region and meet monthly and annual new business targets set.
  • Implementation and communication of signed business.
  • Management of debtor’s days of signed clients within the companies requirements.
  • Prospect for new business and develop a qualified pipeline of leads and convert to actual billing sustainable clients.
  • Ensure all client files are updated and maintain as per the company procedures and Quality Management System.
  • Maintaining client data.
  • Ensure required monthly and accumulative targets are met.
  • Identifying cross silo solutions and working with other Department heads
  • Inter department communication.
  • Mentoring junior New Business Sales Executive.
  • Analysis of sales related information and report weekly to Regional Sales Manager.
  • Assist in tender/proposal production and delivery. (preparation and presentation)
  • Carry out any other duties as may be requested by Management.
  • General administrative duties.

Required Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in selling a service in a field sales position. (New business sales with a small portion of Key Account Management)
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Intermediate
  • Matric essential
  • Reporting day to day to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Strong new business development skills
  • Basic understanding of industry supply chains
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience in consistantly achieving new business targets set.
  • Experience in prospecting for new business through networking and cold calling.
