Position Summary:

Based in Toronto, Canada, the Sales Manager – Eastern Canada for the Watches and Jewelry division will be responsible for all accounts in the market and provide unparalleled customer service to achieve and exceed the sales goals. The Sales Manager will reinforce the brand image and exploit brand presence in both independent and department store accounts through marketing, training, merchandising and in-store sales support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with all internal company departments: Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and
  • Marketing to ensure corporate guideline/procedures are followed and budgets are adhered to;
  • Adhere to all company budgets, policies and procedures;
  • Manage Market Specialists within area of responsibility.
  • Make effective and regular visits to each doors and conduct general business review with retailers and buyers;
  • Coordinate in-store needs for seasonal sales campaigns and events – i.e. trunk shows, sales incentives, and peak season sales support;
  • Define and orchestrate product trainings;
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within region as specified by the Watches and Jewelry Sales Director and achieve departmental goals as determined;
  • Responsible for all sell-in of independent accounts in for their region and respective order intake;
  • Cultivate active dialogue with clients regarding product, brand positioning, marketing and growth opportunities, developing action-oriented proposals with the Watches and Jewelry Sales Director;
  • Responsible to drive sell-out of products in department store accounts;
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Corporate team to drive and grow business and review sales trends and seasonal projections with management; advise management of threatening conditions and environments;
  • Provide unparalleled customer service and follow up to each retailer;
  • Develop new clients/doors that meet brand image and growth plan and close existing doors with unsatisfactory image, sales results or payment history;
  • Conduct regular and ongoing trainings, both informal in-store and formal regional trainings;
  • Replenish as needed independent accounts to maximize sales. For Dept stores suggest replenishment to Nationals team
  • Update sales associates and store personnel on new product launches, advertising, technical information – i.e. utilizing all tools to maximize the sales potential;
  • Merchandise each point of sale (POS) and work with Marketing Team in adherence of corporate guidelines to maximize sales and brand exposure, and work with the team to have each POS develop and grow our visual presence within the store and mall/vicinity;

Required Education & Experience:

  • BA or BS Bachelor degree and 6+ years’ experience in related field;
  • Strong retail fashion/luxury background;
  • Frequent Travel within market and occasional domestic/international travel;
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle;
  • Be open to schedule flexibility and adaptability;
  • Have a proven track record of achieving sales goals;
  • Knowledge and experience of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
