Position Summary:

These positions are located in BLM Oregon State Office, and may be filled in the Lakeview District, Medford District, or Roseburg District (in the Lakeview, and Ashland, or Swiftwater Field Offices, respectively). Since the Medford District covers both Grants Pass and Medford duty locations, positions may be filled in either or both offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect data daily in the field and summarize it in the office to meet BLM standards.
  • Serve as a team lead for invasive plant management crews to include scheduling day-to-day work assignments for crews throughout the summer months.
  • Serve as a point of contact for individuals utilizing public lands.
  • The primary purpose of this position is to ensure invasive species of noxious weeds are appropriately controlled, and rangeland environments are rehabilitated and managed in a way that limits environmental degradation.
  • Provide oversight for crew members as they conduct surveys, monitoring and treatments (manual, biological, and chemical) of invasive plants.
  • Serve as a Lead for controlling invasive plants across the Lakeview, Medford, or Roseburg District.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Must provide resume and supporting documents (See required documents).
  • May be required to complete background investigation and drug screening.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males
  • You cannot hold an active real estate license, nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands.
