Position Summary:

Providing quotations on a Corporate and Retail basis to the industry. To engage with clients in an effective, efficient and client centric manner to resolve and respond to enquiries timeously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex product related queries and accurately process information in response to requests about the Momentum Corporate and Retail annuity product offerings.
  • Always maintain client confidentiality.
  • Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum.
  • Assist with the quarterly policy valuation review of Funds on book.
  • Ensure all service touchpoints are of the highest quality as measured internally and externally.
  • Take responsibility for managing both reputational and financial risk as a result of interactions with both internal and external clients.
  • Research, follow-up and resolve client enquiries and problems through effective interaction with intermediaries, product specialists and operations areas.
  • Providing support to the pricing actuaries regarding developing and maintaining tools, as well as non-standard pricing requests.
  • Ensure that business written, adds to the value of new business and embedded value by pricing appropriately. Monitor experience and updating existing assumptions and margins
  • Deliver positive and seamless customer service during every interaction with the client in a considerate and timely manner.
  • Drive high level of quality spoken or written.
  • Receive, evaluate, and timeously respond to quote requests and enquiries within a pressurised service environment.
  • Training and development on a constant basis.
  • Sustained improvement in quality, cost, service, turnaround time, flexibility, and innovation with an aim to improve business process
  • Maintain active engagement with clients (Brokers and RBCs) to promote prompt resolution.
  • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collect & analyse information and data, effective use of pricing models, resolving effective implementations by refining the bases where necessary.
  • Work closely with Product Management to determine the feasibility and pricing impact of product enhancements.
  • Encourage upskilling and partaking in soft skills development.
  • Manage financial and other company resources under your control with due respect.
  • Always keep all our stakeholders in the loop.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Timeously and accurately process all new business transactions.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Matric with Accounting and Mathematics.
  • Business related degree (preferred).
  • Self-starter able to show initiative and look for ways to improve existing processes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant product knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of client service policies, procedures, and processes.
  • High attention to detail and quality orientation.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of business-related rules and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to work with significant and complex data.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Financial services industry knowledge.
  • Excel proficiency is critical.
