Position Summary:

As a Project Manager on FPL’s Development team, you will work on the cutting edge of distributed technologies and you will explore the possibilities that distributed energy resources and transportation electrification are creating for the utility industry. You will have the opportunity to implement FPL’s e-Mobility strategy and will be responsible for leading the on-going development and the operations of FPL’s EVolution Home electric vehicle charging program across the state of Florida.

What you’ll Do:

  • Assists in the construction of contractual arrangements for project development
  • Coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations
  • Drive EVSE related charging issues experienced by FPL customers to resolution
  • Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
  • Leads and facilitates the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive result
  • Supports due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
  • Manage and oversee electrical contractor worker orders for residential EVSE installations, EVSE removals, or EVSE replacements
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community
  • Track and, as needed, assist electrical contractors with permit issuance expediting
  • Track and control yearly O&M budgets
  • EVSE asset procurement, delivery, and invoice management
  • Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
  • Participates in negotiating agreements with consultants and subcontractors

Required Education & Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills are essential to be successful in this role
  • Experience in contracts, real estate, utility planning, charging infrastructure, EV infrastructure policy, and local permitting preferred
  • Autonomy – autonomous, high-motor approach to execution and achievement; self-motivated and outspoken about what is needed to get a job done
  • Risk Management – Aggressive approach to reducing risk and getting ahead of problems before they impact project timelines
  • Experience with Salesforce Field Service is a plus
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years
  • Excellent Communication – strategic listener, conscious conversationalist, and persuasive of people from a wide range of roles and backgrounds; Comfortable communicating with all types of stakeholders
  • Results-driven candidate who will directly impact our goal of expanding access to EV charging
  • Background in Customer Service and/or Field Services
  • Organization – highly organized, able to simultaneously manage 20+ projects in various phases, without missing a beat
