Project Controls Advisor – Chevron Job Applications

Position Summary:

The Project Controls Advisor provides cost engineering support to the capital projects team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project controls related processes and reporting. This role is part of the team located at the Pascagoula Refinery supporting the portfolio of capital projects in that location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports business planning processes, data analytics, and benchmarking activities.
  • The role requires working closely with contractors and Chevron project team.
  • Participates in project reviews, risk assessments, lookbacks, and assurance activities.
  • Identifies and works with interfaces to resolve issues.
  • Utilizes change management on projects (management of change, budget transfers, contingency drawdown and trend logs).
  • Works with Finance to ensure established accounting processes, systems, and procedures are followed.
  • Works with the scheduler, estimator, and procurement to develop, generate, and analyze progress & performance reports, and forecasts.
  • Applies cost engineering practices including earned value management, risk reviews, cost forecasting, and reporting on projects during engineering and construction.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Experience using EcoSys project controls software
  • 10 Year performing project controls in oil/gas industry
  • Bachelors degree
  • Downstream/refining project controls experience
