Position Summary:

Responsible for Paid Social online marketing planning, spend and performance working with internal/external digital marketing teams to execute and optimize the Paid Social channel budget and online marketing campaigns for all web store transactional sites in MENA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in working with digital advertising teams to deliver a performance marketing approach focused on test and learn ethos, such as A/B testing new creatives and identifying best placements
  • Own and be accountable for the Paid Social channel strategy (Facebook, Instagram, You Tube and emerging media sources such as Snapchat and Whats App), budgeting and performance to drive accelerated ecommerce and omnichannel growth for Alshaya brands through the aggressive expansion of customer acquisition funnel.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to further improve channel and campaign efficiency
  • Define and implement an efficient operational process for the briefing and creation of
  • Works with internal and external digital marketing advertising teams to devise the strategy and approach to building highly efficient Paid Social campaigns focused on customer acquisition, through look-a-like audience building, and re-targeting for Alshaya online and omnichannel brands.
  • Works closely with other marketing and eCommerce areas like CRM, web analytics and BI, and online webstore teams, to gain insight that drives further optimization of online marketing spend, and aligns with online trading calendar to support promotional campaign plans. Works closely with other eCommerce and other Alshaya central teams to perform required activities that support customer acquisition.
  • Support defining and developing online attribution modeling requirements and post impression marketing analysis together with web analytics team and digital advertising teams, to achieve acquisition KPIs of CTR, Cost-per-Acquisition (CPA), Cost per Lead (CPL) and ROAS.
  • Manages Paid Social media plan spend, allocation and execution requirements with internal digital advertising team and/or internal digital agencies to deliver campaign performance and continuous optimization.
  • Will work closely with central marketing, agency and central design teams to research, plan and ensure execution of highly successful Paid Social Media campaigns.
  • Manages the development of the Paid Social channel media plans in accordance to overall online marketing spend allocation by way of planning and setting up marketing campaign requirements to internal/external digital advertising teams.
  • Owns the annual business planning process for the channel across all brands and markets to build the channel metrics for traffic, CPC, CPA, Conversion and new customer and lead acquisition.

  • Will remain current with industry trends while continually leveraging new approaches and industry best practices to drive efficiency of campaigns.
  • Defines the Paid Social channel strategy for evolving the channel performance and post impression ROAS.
  • Will manage Paid Social budget allocation and planning for all transactional web store brands and markets in MENA.
  • Work with analytics team to analyze results, identifying actionable opportunities (targeting, optimization, creative direction, etc.) to improve performance and scale

Required Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years in Social Media digital marketing, with a proven track record of managing and executing world class engaging paid social campaigns focused on omnichannel awareness as well as lead and customer acquisition across retail verticals.
  • Will have performance managed Paid Social media channel for at least 3 years, with direct budget and performance responsibilities for multiple accounts.
  • Ideal candidate comes from an online pureplay hypergrowth or B2C retail ecommerce business or leading digital agency based in digitally matured western markets.
