Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with other Built Environment teams in Birmingham as well as in other offices.
- Ensuring adequate resource levels within the team.
- Design of electrical systems including switchgear, distribution, small power, lighting, fire alarm, security etc.
- Leading the delivery of projects, accountability of the project delivery team and ensure technical deliverables are on-time and within budget.
- Provide technical mentorship and contribute to technical Excellence within the team.
- Ensuring Compliance with the business management system.
- Be an advocate of sustainable and smart building design.
- You will be responsible for day to day engineering duties, leading by example, within the electrical team.
Required Education & Experience:
- Extensive practical technical experience gained through working on projects with a consultant or contractor.
- Experience of project management and direction.
- BEng and/or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
- Good client facing skills.
- Highly experienced in the use of electrical design software packages such as Trimble ProDesign (Amtech), Relux and/or Dialux.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards it.
- Ideally experienced in use of AutoCAD and Revit (highly desirable but not essential).
- Passionate about high standards of excellence and quality assurance.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload as well as that of others.
- Hold a professional membership with CIBSE or IET or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation.
