Position Summary:

As our new BIM Technician, you’ll be responsible for producing quality engineering deliverables to programme to support; the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, detailed design, construction, commissioning and completion on all elements of the project including water recycling infrastructure and non-infrastructure, sludge treatment, highways, renewables, and landscaping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the design strategy and use Project 13 principles to mould existing ways of working and implement new processes to support the aim of offering world class delivery
  • Promote and ensure compliance with project specific procedures around BIM delivery (including PAS1192), including technology selection, data management, supply chain integration, governance and deliverable production
  • Contribute to the management of a strong BIM interface with the supply chain including information flows, standards, formats and workflows
  • Whilst mainly looking to build from models, will also deliver drawing deliverables to support DCO applications in areas such as site layouts, pipeline/ tunnels plans and specific details to support the application
  • Provide timely and accurate input to the Design and Safety teams to contribute to risk assessments and quality assurance ensuring our activities fully support a safe working environment
  • Assist in mapping project outputs against technologies adhering to the architecture of project BIM systems and established technology plans
  • Assist in the maintenance of the structure of the model section of BIM 360 and all BIM related infrastructure
