Position Summary:

This position is within Calvert Research and Management (“CRM”), a subsidiary of Eaton Vance. CRM is a global investor and recognized leader in responsible investing. For this position, Calvert is seeking a seasoned individual to support the implementation, scaling and evolution of Calvert’s frameworks, methodologies and initiatives for measuring, managing and reporting on the ESG impact footprint of Calvert’s investment portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Impact Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Business or other relevant field.
  • Collaborate with Calvert’s research, product/business development, engagement, investment and marketing teams to identify and address investment impact needs, gaps, risks and opportunities.
  • Support initiatives to catalog, benchmark, report on and improve the impact profile of Calvert’s investment products.
  • Support the delivery, implementation and refinement of best-in-class impact KPI frameworks.
  • Develop fluency in and ensure the rigor, robustness and relevance of Calvert’s impact metrics, underlying calculations and overarching methodology.
  • Track the shifting investment landscape, global reporting frameworks and impact reporting trends pertinent to Calvert’s impact management program. Monitor relevant developments in existing and emerging data sets, and proactively incorporate accretive enhancements to Calvert’s dynamic multi-asset class impact measurement and reporting platform on a continual basis.
  • Represent Calvert in investment impact-related industry initiatives and relevant fora.
  • Support the management and progression of internal and externally commissioned impact initiatives and projects.
  • Leverage technology/data visualization platforms and situational awareness of proprietary internal and external vendor impact KPIs to continually evolve rendering of fund-level impact profiles, drill-down impact performance analytics and explanatory impact performance narratives.
  • Liaise with Calvert’s IT team on initiatives to streamline and enhance enterprise-wide impact data infrastructure, tools, analytics and end-user reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute thought leadership content on the intersection of ESG impact management and investment performance across asset classes and thematic realms. Facilitate production and publication of firm-wide impact report(s).

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years professional experience with ESG data/quantitative analysis and ESG qualitative research and integration in an investment context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Business or other relevant field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills. Capacity to juggle multiple initiatives and shifting priorities concurrently with consistent follow-through and adherence to stipulated timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine and rapidly analyze large, disparate data sets with an eye towards extracting fresh, actionable insights alongside procedural and operational efficiencies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsets, conversance with or willingness to learn structured query and other relevant computer programming languages.
