Position Summary:
In this position, you will strengthen the Department’s ability to protect the homeland by becoming a valuable member of a team of administrative professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- A dependent who was authorized to accompany a federal civilian or member of the military who was working for the U.S. government
- Collecting and analyzing information related to workflow, office procedures and control systems in support of program evaluations
- Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
- Identifying and recommending solutions to administrative problems and providing advice to staff on established methods and procedures.
- Conducting inventory, records management and preparing a variety of property reports
- Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military
- Assisting with conducting inventories, records management, and preparing/processing of various property reports
- Applying methods, principles and practices used in recruitment and placement to work on new vacancies
- Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
- Assisting higher graded specialists and supervisor with managing base pay, premium pay, overtime, and leave entitlements and administration
- Providing assistance with the fleet card program to include performing audits, extracting reports, and reconciling invoices, as well as supporting the processing of damaged vehicles and the scheduling of repairs
- Evaluating and analyzing administrative programs to identify productivity standards, measures of performance and reporting procedures and resource utilization effectiveness and efficiency
- Coordinating facility repairs and ensuring requests are recorded into the facilities management system
Required Education & Experience:
- You may be required to pass a background investigation

- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service
- A Master’s degree, two full years of graduate education, a J.D. or an LL.B. degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for experience required at this level. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise two years of graduate education. If that information is not available, use 36 semester or 54 quarter hours.
