Position Summary:

We have an exciting position for a Mining Standards Coordinator to be responsible for preparing, issuing, maintaining, and reviewing all controlled documentation, Engineering codes of practices, procedures, and standards for AAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and/or maintain a storage system to control physical documents on Site.
  • Maintain a register (plan) of all governance documentation requiring updating, new documents, and redundant documents. Follow-up with document owners to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a general coordinator for all processes in the governance documentation environment for the site.
  • To consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits of the governance documentation.
  • Adhere to external local compliance requirements as a minimum level of site performance.
  • Coordinates all the central Standards Committee Meetings including preparation of documentation.
  • Address audit findings as applicable.
  • Ensure that all escalations regarding reviewable documents reach the responsible person at least 3 months before expiry of the document.
  • Design of the supporting document management systems, including design of a standardized taxonomy structure.
  • Communicate the changes in governance documents according to the approved process.
  • Act in line and support a purpose-led, high performing culture, applying the company values and principles of inclusion and diversity.
  • Identify specific risks within working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans/system to avoid these risks.
  • Ensure that all group governance documents are managed according to the Governance Documentation Policy, and any supporting
  • Anglo Platinum procedures regarding document management.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Experience in mining environment or related essential
  • 5 years’ experience in standards or document management
  • Advanced engineering standards and legislative knowledge
  • Relevant degree/ BTech/ Diploma
  • Advanced in data collection, analysis, and management for decision-making
  • Grade 12
  • Advanced level of document management and controls
  • Driver’s Licence
