Position Summary:
Sets strategy for Team in support of departmental strategy. Helps define the fleet strategy related to aircraft acquisitions and sales. Executes the fleet plan and manages aircraft and engine contracts and/or management of warranty/cost recovery efforts. Applies knowledge of unique and non-repetitive type work. Contributes to projects and cross functional initiatives; identifies talent and builds bench.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the dispute resolution process for contractual issues
- Provide Leadership oversight and execution of aircraft acquisitions and dispositions
- Manage airframe and engine warranty programs
- Communicate with Customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
- Manage contract issues between SWA Teams and airframe and engine manufacturers
- Oversee timelines, manage resources and provide management oversight to ensure aircraft payments, warranty reimbursements and business considerations are completed timely and accurately
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with industry partners such as OEM’s, Lessors, Banks, Consignment Vendors, Legal, etc.
- Collaborate with others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions

- Identify and justify transaction and negotiation alternatives to help maximize negotiated outcomes and value capture
Required Education & Experience:
- Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Must be able to travel – up to 25% including international destinations
- Skilled in bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
- Economic and accounting principles and practices
- Negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Skilled in asking questions to challenge Employee’s assumptions, elicit new insights, raise self-awareness, and gain learning
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
