Position Summary:

In this position, you will serve as a Business Analyst within the Analytics Branch who analyzes and addresses stakeholder requirements for data management and analytics and will provide decision support and technical assistance to specific programs and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translating stakeholder business needs and requirements for data management and analytics support into detailed project specifications, assessing their feasibility, and prioritizing them based on strategic alignment.
  • Leading efforts to archive, organize, and integrate internal and external data as appropriate and serving as the designated data subject matter expert for specific programs and teams in the Region.
  • Using multiple software platforms to address a wide variety of data management and analytic needs, and collaborating with technical partners to execute on project requirements.
  • Presenting data-driven findings to peers
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships and/or data-sharing agreements with key stakeholders, including federal agencies, states, municipalities, tribes, and territories, as well as private sector and non-government partners.
  • Providing in-depth analyses, strategic assessments, or domain knowledge on strategic initiatives, program investments, and business processes;
  • Developing data-driven guidance and recommendations, and communicating findings to drive business operations and strategic decisions.

Required Education & Experience:

  • You qualify for this position at the GS-12 level (starting salary $97,490) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer
  • 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
  • You qualify for this position at the GS-11 level (starting salary $81,338) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-9) in the Federal Service.
