Key Responsibilities:
- A dependent who was authorized to accompany a federal civilian or member of the military who was working for the U.S. government
- Implementing, coordinating, and/or overseeing a variety of management programs impacting organizational activities.
- Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
- Supporting development and evaluation of policies in assigned program areas, takes or recommends actions to achieve organizational objectives, and recommends future program objectives and improvements.
- Planning, developing and coordinating management activities through briefings, presentations and conferences for managers and top-level officials.
- Demonstrating interpersonal and administrative skills, sufficient to organize and coordinate thorough, systematic, professional efforts to meet the organization’s planning needs and requirements, and to provide written and oral reports with conclusions, alternatives and recommendations on policies, projects, or studies for the agency.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of planning and controls for submission of data, including forming the basis of budget and program resource requests and decisions.
- Assisting management and programs with: the recommendation of laws, policies and regulations; resolving broad and/or complex planning, evaluation, control, and resource allocation problems; and an ability to provide advice dealing with various management levels.
- Providing technical assistance and direct support to headquarters and field management staff in a variety of matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements.
- Coordinating or assisting in coordination of activities of support staff, advises and provides analytical support on problem definitions, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures. Assists with evaluating the content of new or modified legislation for projected impact upon agency programs.
- Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
- Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military
- Supporting all badging, credentialing and access for the NTC, Sterling, VA and satellite facilities.
Required Education & Experience:
- You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position
- Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited college or university, may be substituted for experience at the GS-9 grade level. Such education must demonstrate the skills needed to do the work. A course of study in business administration, public administration, or related fields is qualifying. One year of fulltime graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 54 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 3 years of full-time study
- Ability to plan and organize and support personal, team and task force efforts across organizational lines

- Appropriate combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience also may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the GS-5, 7, 9, and 11 grade levels. To combine your education and experience, you must convert each to a percentage and then add the percentages. The combined total of your percentage of education and experience must equal at least 100% in order to qualify. If your education is currently described in quarter hours, convert the quarter hours into semester hours by multiplying the quarter hours by the fraction 2/3. To calculate your percentage of graduate education, divide the number of graduate semester hours by 18. To determine your percentage of qualifying experience, you must divide your total number of months of qualifying experience by the required number of months of experience. Add your percentages of education and experience.
