Position Summary:
This position performs a variety of duties involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and related structures, fixtures, and utilities. Assignments include general carpentry, painting, plumbing, roofing, operation of tools and equipment, and other laborer tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair plumbing in existing buildings used by the public.
- Apply standard measurements, specifications, and instructions when constructing, installing, or repairing items.
- Apply basic knowledge for repairing or ordering repairs for equipment problems.
- Review manufacturer and technical manuals to operate and maintain equipment.
- Assist in minor building construction, renovations, and/or construction repairs.
- Perform general carpentry, painting, plumbing, roofing, operation of tools and equipment, and other general laborer tasks.
- Replace worn or broken fixtures, sections of plastic pipe, toilet flush valves, shower water valves, and/or floor toilet seals.
Required Education & Experience:
- Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
- Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Knowledge of Materials (Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.)
