Position Summary:

The Maintenance Control Technician (MCT) provides the central point of contact to coordinate aircraft maintenance for all locations and supports the minute-to-minute operation of the fleet to which he is assigned. You will survey and analyze mechanical and operational performance of assigned fleet(s) or system(s). You will provide technical evaluation and recommendations for resolution of maintenance problems including but not limited to oversight and coordination; communication with employees and/or vendors both inside and outside the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes technical manuals; AMM, SRM, WDM etc.
  • Alerting the MOC Manager on Duty when problems arise that adversely affect systems operations.
  • Maintain a current list of aircraft status (ETR) and communicate ETR and MEL information to the appropriate IOC personnel.
  • Performing any other MOC duties as assigned.
  • Administering the MEL/CDL/NEF/TAC process in accordance with the MOCPM.
  • Providing technical support for assigned personnel as required, strong troubleshooting skills a must.
  • Reviewing previous mechanical interruptions and following up to ensure a positive final corrective action.
  • Updating delay information and DMR entries for non-maintenance.
  • Coordinating requirements for field trips to non-maintenance stations.
  • Monitoring system or engine performance/fault monitoring system and writing follow up items to ensure the effectiveness of corrective action to chronic faults.
  • Requesting and remotely directing work of contract maintenance personnel in non-maintenance station.
  • Reviewing open non-routine maintenance items on assigned fleet(s) or system(s); assisting and researching and developing a plan to resolve chronic aircraft faults.
  • Maintaining and controlling all aspects of aircraft certifications and ensuring aircraft compliance.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime: including nights, weekends, holidays, and days-off
  • Minimum 5 years Aviation Maintenance Technician experience on commercial or military aircraft
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA)
  • Ability to troubleshoot using wiring diagrams and system schematics
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language or language native to geographical location
  • Ability to travel for support of Out of Service aircraft
  • Extensive Avionics and/or Maintenance Control Technician experience
  • Knowledge of MEL, ETOPS; GPM
  • F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant license
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
  • You will be required to successfully complete our drug screening process
  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Extensive Aircraft systems troubleshooting experience
  • Must be able to act professionally under stressful situations
