Position Summary:
This job is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of multiple work schedules including inspection and preventative maintenance programs; planned major repairs, overhauls and equipment replacement; new construction and upgrades carried out by internal resources and/or external contractors; repair and maintenance work initiated in response to audit recommendations and through Industrial Maintenance Control requests directed to the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue various reports detailing Plant Maintenance Department work schedules and activities;

- Develop, implement, maintain and monitor multiple work schedules including inspection and preventative maintenance programs; planned major repairs, overhaul and equipment replacement; new construction and upgrades carried out by external contractors; repair and maintenance work initiated in response to audit recommendations and repair work initiated through Industrial Maintenance Control requests directed to the Plant Maintenance department
- Prepare monthly reports, comparing actual costs with budgeted costs, investigate variances and recommend performance improvement
- Create cash flow reports for scheduling systems and budget preparations incorporating design, tendering, material ordering and construction activities as required, as well as evaluate the impact of changing maintenance activities on the cash flow and schedules
- Candidate will be required to participate in the TTC’s Customer Service Ambassador Program
- Develop and implement logic diagrams, flow processes and critical path methodologies and analysis for optimizing multi-trade activities or work undertaken by the Plant Maintenance department
Required Education & Experience:
- Ability to comprehend drawings is an asset
- Audit systems, processes, and products
- Hands on experience in planning, preparing and analysing logic diagrams, critical path networks and bar charts for construction projects and workforce activities
- Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
- Communicate in a variety of mediums
- Must be proficient in the use of computer based scheduling systems (Primavera, MS Project) and other computerized applications related to the work (Maximo, Word, Excel and Access)
- Maintain documentation and historical records
- Must have an ability to obtain information from numerous sources in order to analyze, prepare and maintain progress schedules
- Must have sound judgement plus good analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with construction and maintenance activities is required
- Apply accounting principles and practices
- Proven skills in the application of practices and procedures involved in the scheduling and cost control functions
