Position Summary:

As a Machine Maintenance Repair Technician you will work in the fast-paced San Francisco Technical Operation department. The Machine Maintenance Repair (T-Skill) Technician plays a very important role in providing quality service to our internal customers. The T-Skill Technician should have strong working knowledge of construction and operation of machine shop equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to manufacture replacement parts
  • Works with minimal supervision
  • Basic knowledge on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control units and systems
  • Able to realign equipment to meet original manufacturers tolerances
  • Able to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, reassemble and test equipment for proper tolerance and operational capabilities
  • Must be capable of operating fifty percent (50%) of major machine tools in machine shop
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Must have familiarity of preventive maintenance and TPM Program

Required Education & Experience:

  • Must be able to inspect and diagnose problems to determine corrective repairs
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull
  • Read, understand, and use electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and parts layouts
  • General knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Must be familiar with, and understand the Universal Plumbing Code (UPC)
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be familiar with Facility electrical 480 VAC 3 phase, 220 VAC 3 phase, 22oVAC and 120VAC single phase
  • 2 years’ apprenticeship or equivalent on the job experience
  • Mobility requirements including lifting, carrying, crawling, and ladder climbing
  • 2+ years’ experience with CNC, PLC, Electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, troubleshooting and repair
  • Background in building maintenance
  • Backflow certification or equivalent city/state license
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must have a high school diploma/GED or education equivalent
  • Valid US driver’s license (revoked, suspended or expired are not considered valid)
