Position Summary:
The purpose of the role is to provide legal and administrative and support in a well organised and timely manner to the legal team through a variety of support-based and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure achievement of own performance objectives.
- Deliver or retrieve documents to or from relevant parties as per specified instructions in a timely manner
- Ensure that all transactional activities take place in a timely fashion in order to operate a reliable administrative support process.
- Provide a professional Legal Services service.
- Set a stellar example by always living the values of Momentum Investments.
- Prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate and work with the Legal Services team to deliver required service levels.
- Contribute to a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes
- innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
- Ensure efficient, accurate, and timeous completion of all relevant documentation.
- Offer administrative support through coordinating diaries, scheduling meetings, minute taking, distributing minutes to attendees, formatting of documents, filing of agreements, maintenance of contract management system, processing expense claims, etc.
- Provide support to the legal team in furthering the aims and objectives of the legal services function of Momentum Investments.
- Take ownership of the signature process of all legal agreements.
- Actively share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends and new ideas to streamline administrative processes.
- Take responsibility for the application and utilisation of systems to ensure accurate and timeous record keeping as well as upkeep of the contract management system.
- Update Legal Services processes and files in a timeous fashion.
- Upkeep of legal team templates to ensure they adhere to accepted formatting style (look and feel) and carrying out simple updates to templates.
- Take ownership of administration related queries and ensure that they are timeously and effectively resolved.
Required Education & Experience:
- Matric , BA or relevant degree (recognition of prior learning process may be considered for this role in conjunction with minimum qualifications).
