Position Summary:
Monitor on time and efficient performance of repairs, servicing and maintenance of work and utilization of the equipment and manpower involved for assigned location of responsibility. To ensure assigned location is conducting safety inspections and follow up to maintain a satisfactory safety record and handling. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend building changes to improve layout for maximum safety and productivity.
- Control expense levels.
- Monitor direct labor schedules, make proposals to adjust workforce, and review work methods to identify cost saving.
- Manage parts inventories at acceptable levels.
- Manage and coordinate special projects, i.e.: Fleet appearance, equipment campaigns, roll reduction, and safety meetings.
- Ensure proper service levels to transportation and warehouse.
- Plan, organize and supervise the duties of hourly personnel.
- Research and rectify Accounts Payable discrepancies.
- Responsible for the compliance with DOT and Sate motor Carriers safety regulations as they apply to maintenance.
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
- Responsible for the adequate supplies of fuels, oils, greases and miscellaneous service parts.
Required Education & Experience:
- Ability to achieve results in fast paced environment.
- 2 years in previous position
- Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Work well independently or as part of a team.
- Good and effective communication skills.
- 5 years fleet services supervisory experience
