Position Summary:
Pharmacy Manager will have full responsibility for their pharmacy including customer service, sales objectives, technician staffing, scheduling, inventory control and loss prevention. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.v
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill the prescription needs of our customers concentrating on accuracy of each and every prescription filled. Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers as necessary.
- Achieve acceptable promotional activity in store to achieve budgeted sales and profit.
- Create Pharmacy department image of service, friendliness and cooperativeness with customers, Kroger employees and outside vendors.
- Supervise stock replenishment, inventory, policy and procedures, record keeping, security, sanitation, scheduling, proper operation of all equipment, pricing, plan-o-grams, returns, budgets and reports to management.
- Supervise all pharmacy personnel to achieve required results.
- Achieve thorough knowledge of trade area, customers and competition.
- Develop pharmacy sales, gross profit, number of prescriptions and inventory budgets.
- Responsible for compliance with all local, state and federal laws governing the practice of pharmacy for department.
- Manage product recalls per company policy.
- Achieve results oriented relationship with store management, Kroger employees, Pharmacy Coordinator, all pharmacy staff and other health care professionals, i.e., doctors, dentists, nurses, agencies, etc.
- Achieve pharmacy sales, gross profit and inventory budgets.
- Achieve professional image through personal appearance, conduct and attitude and the physical condition of the pharmacy. Adhere to pharmacy standards.
Required Education & Experience:
- Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
