Position Summary:
The IT End User Support Supervisor provides oversight and leadership of services used to support the City’s end-user community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for all operations related to device specifications and support used by city staff.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide oversight for all operations related to the operation of the IT Service Desk.
- Provide timely status reports and monitor assigned budget.
- Keep IT management informed on outages and/or potential risks regarding IT devices.
- Keep up with the latest technologies and security best practices as assigned.
- Provide mentorship to the end-user computing services team when accomplishing tasks and projects.
- Maintain knowledge of assigned technologies with provided training and resources.
- Instruct, direct, and motivate staff to meet departmental goals.
- Evaluate and recommend changes or additions to the strategy of the End-User computing environment.
Required Education & Experience:
- A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
- Minimum of seven (7) of experience
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check
- A valid driver’s license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 90 days of hire
- Requires an Associates Degree or two (2) year technical Certificate
