Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, mentor, guidance, discipline and discharge
  • Employee is also responsible for staffing the department and the management of employee performance, including hiring appropriate staff, conducting regular performance reviews and, if necessary, terminating staff in conjunction with human resources.
  • Oversee 2 full-time employees that direct and manage Audio/Video technology who work primarily at the stadium
  • Communicate regularly with executive management on IT security, systems and best practices
  • Lend expertise to internal teams.
  • Good developer of staff – builds organization where know-how is well-distributed and training and cross-training are both planned and prioritized
  • Working with the CFO, provide leadership, vision, and management to the IT department and ensure the overall department goals are aligned with company objectives.
  • Consistently follows through and leaves internal customers informed on the status of their requests
  • Analyze IT needs presented by the business / user community and recommend technical solutions
  • Maintain wi-fi and various networks (AV, major equipment, ticketing infrastructure, POS, etc.) at the stadium.
  • The remainder of IT stadium management is handled by the Tampa Sport Authority (TSA).
  • Coordinate with football IT staff on an ongoing basis
  • Employee is responsible for managing the IT department and directing the work of its employees. Employee is also responsible for staffing the department and the management of employee performance, including hiring appropriate staff, conducting regular performance reviews and, if necessary, terminating staff in conjunction with human resources.
  • Develop and manage the financial planning for IT, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
  • Communicate effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technology solutions and strategies. This includes hands-on involvement in many instances.
  • Demonstrate ROI and sound IT decision making in regard to IT acquisition and overall directives
  • Evaluate all hardware / software / systems and maintain vendor contracts and support agreements
  • Ensure the security, consistency and maintainability of existing systems and network by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing and maintaining technical solutions
  • Employee is responsible for managing the department and directing the work of its employees.

Required Education & Experience:

  • SAN experience
  • Knowledge and ability to perform all job responsibilities of any IT staff member
  • Technical certifications/experience:
  • Good communicator/”explainer” (can put IT in terms non-IT people can understand) – excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience with point-of-sale systems
  • Enterprise phone system administration for VOIP system (RingCentral)
  • Knowledge and experience with TicketMaster / Archtics
  • Microsoft certifications desired, MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) preferred
  • A high level of integrity and the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information
  • Enjoys being in a fast-paced, entertainment-related environment
  • Fortigate VPN, Firewall and network security experience
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Wi-Fi knowledge in a large deployment capacity of more than 1000 APs
  • VMware experience/knowledge
  • Information security certifications desired, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security professional) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT support, operations and engineering
  • Continued knowledge and evaluation of IT trends and roadmaps
  • Responsive and reliable
  • 5+ years of IT management
  • Cloud certification desired
  • Knowledge of network design, LAN/WAN, MPLS, Routing and Switching
  • A Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology/Information Systems or commensurate work experience is required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with webhosting and site certificates
  • Knowledge and experience of IT Security and Compliance including HIPAA, PCI, ITIL
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM specifically SalesForce
  • Knowledge and experience with ESX and VMWare
  • Ability to support multiple facilities: Stadium, AHTC and other remote locations (on a more limited basis)
  • Thorough knowledge of IT Management, project management, vendor management and Systems and Networking
