Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a motivated professional with operational and technology knowledge and skills to provide team leadership, co-ordination, expertise, and advice as an I&IT Lead Technology Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- manage concurrent large and medium scale, technically complex infrastructure projects across a range of on-prem, cloud, PAAS, SAAS enterprise technologies and provide team leadership to operational support teams
- provide support, advice, and leadership in the daily operation of the Land and Resources Cluster (LRC) infrastructure portfolio by providing operational support of applications including mission/business critical solutions
- provide authoritative technical leadership and expertise to oversee the design, development, deployment, and on-going sustainment of the LRC infrastructure operational platform of high-profile I&IT solutions that supports significant government business lines
- provide authoritative technical advice and leadership to operational support teams to resolve complex systems/infrastructure problems and critical incidents as it relates to LRC managed infrastructure services (for example, Esri, Oracle, Siebel, Java, Sharepoint, .Net, and Salesforce)
- lead and participate in cluster or enterprise-wide modernization such as Dev/Ops implementation and automation tool set adoption
Required Education & Experience:
- You have the ability to identify, monitor, and manage risks and issues through to resolution or mitigation.
- You have resource management skills to plan, organize, coordinate, and control resources effectively.
- You have team leadership skills to develop and sustain effective technical (operational support) teams and foster cooperation.
- You have knowledge of service delivery management, resource management, and operational planning for multiple complex systems platforms to manage and optimize the full platform life cycle.
- You have knowledge of current methodologies pertaining to systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation methods, data, applications, networking, and security to direct and oversee systems platform design, development, and maintenance.
- You have knowledge of infrastructure systems/platform architecture, design, development, deployment, and integration principles and technology to oversee the design and development of complex highly integrated systems platforms.
- You have knowledge of technical and human resources change management approaches and tools.
- You have demonstrated knowledge and skills in managing and delivering concurrent medium and large scale, technically complex projects across a range of enterprise technologies.
- You have knowledge of project management principles, methodology, tools, and best practices, to lead and manage multiple complex systems design and delivery projects.
