Job Overview:

As a Groups and Reservations Supervisor, you will lead the reservations team and support the Commercial Director to execute our strategic market plan for Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street. You will also work alongside the Reservations Coordinator to maximise revenue opportunities for the hotel and ensure all reservations duties are carried out accurately and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure collection and allocation of payments towards group masters
  • Oversee the management of group bookings. Ensure that groups blocks are entered correctly, cut-off dates, rooming lists, block activity (i.e. pickup, wash etc), and deposits are managed.
  • Ensure bookings are guaranteed and no show charges/late cancellation charges are applied where appropriate
  • Monitor customer satisfaction regularly and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure future business
  • Be the first point of support for the Reservations Coordinator and continue to train and grown their skill set
  • Oversee the day to day operation of the reservations department in line with standard operating procedures

What you’ll have:

  • Proven selling capabilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of one-year previous experience in reservations within a hotel.
  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • High level of IT skills, including Excel, and Word
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills with a keen eye for detail
