Job Overview:

The Director of Labor Relations with Hilton Chicago manages all aspects of the labor relations function of Human Resources in partnership with the Director of Human Resources. Primarily handles grievances, research, mediation and arbitration. Ensures compliance with all statutory requirements. Assists with additional Human Resources duties (i.e. recruiting, wage and benefit administration, training and development, etc.).

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the Labor Relations matters to include: negotiating agreements, settlements, handling grievances, mediations, arbitrations, EEOC charges and local and state employment claims.
  • Provide assistance, guidance and counseling to hotel Managers and Executive Committee on legal principles, labor matters and hotel policy.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and administration of policies and programs related to the management of all hotel personnel to ensure the maintenance of a positive and productive employment environment. Monitor same for fair and consistent application.
  • Control the administration of disciplinary action notices to ensure the accurate and equitable application of discipline is being issued.
  • Participate in the development of the Labor Relations strategy for the Hotel.
