Job Overview:

The Events Executive implements all Sales activities in his/her area of responsibility, under the general guidance and supervision of the Conference and Event Sales Executive in collaboration with Director of Business Development.
Your role will be to promote, sell and control the events from initial enquiry to contracting. You will be able to efficiently qualify and sell the Hotel for conference and events, to build up powerful customer relationships that deliver repeat business, and maximise revenue through actively converting enquiries into confirmed business. You will consistently strive to develop relationships with new and repeat booking customers to increase revenue and demand whilst assisting in training of junior team members. Your goal is to assist in making Hilton events the Market leader.

What you’ll do:

  • Effective negotiation on rates according to selling strategies
  • To actively promote the hotel facilities by entertaining clients and agents as necessary
  • Conducting tours of inspections (TOI) of the hotel with potential clients
  • Following up on sales leads and converting them, sent and received
  • Actively convert leads into confirmed sales bookings
  • To achieve conference accommodation and event sales in line with targets
  • To conduct “Bring Back Old Business” and repeat calls to increase demand and overall revenue
  • Ensure all reports are produced as requested by Management
  • Assist C&E Sales Manager in tracking of the revenue development of catering and assist to implement tactics to boost revenue in ‘need’ periods
  • Maximise conversion of leads and bookings
  • Maximise revenue through upselling

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong selling skills and understand the processes to close the sale
