Job Overview:
The beautiful, family friendly Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is seeking an Engineer III to join their maintenance/property operations team! This 1000+ room property is connected by pedestrian skybridge to Disney Springs® and offers luxury suites and amenities for magical vacations! An Engineer III is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. To be considered for this position you must be knowledgeable in the maintenance/repair of the following areas: electricity, plumbing, HVAC painting, plumbing, appliance repair (commercial kitchen and laundry equipment), fire detection/life safety systems, swimming pool and commercial cooling systems.
What you’ll do:
As an Engineer III you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
- Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas
- Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
- Respond to work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
