Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, implementing, and interpreting grants/assistance management policies.
- Monitoring grants management operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies,
- Auditing the tracking and resolution process for single audits and findings including awarding and administering grants, cooperative agreements, or other related instruments.
- Reviewing grant applications and providing technical assistance.
- Performing reviews, analysis, or assessments of grants management related procedures or operations, and
- Conducting financial grant monitoring including review of payment documents and complete grant closeout activities.
- Applying laws, regulations, and policies to disaster grants management operations,
- Providing technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders regarding grants management projects and services, and
- Reviewing and developing reports related to grants management activities.
- Interpreting grants related documents including policies and procedures.
- Providing technical advice and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders regarding grants management operations.
Required Education & Experience:
- Travel will be required.
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
- You qualify for this position at the IC-11 level (starting salary $69,878) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-09) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
- You qualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $83,755) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-11) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience..
