Position Summary:

The Audit Manager will apply extensive technical skill in the supervision, execution and and review of financial statement audits and other project assignments including having overall responsibility for engagement management and project deliverables. The Audit Manager will also be responsible to train those with less experience, and be the main client contact for questions related to the engagement, and will also be participate in marketing, networking and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls.
  • Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
  • Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business improvement and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client.
  • Actively participate in recruiting talent to the firm.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements in a wide variety of industries with the ability to manage to budget.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Active CPA license required.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel on short notice to various client sites.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics or related dicipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience in a medium to large public accounting firm or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards.
