Position Summary:

As a Technical Program Manager at Pixel hardware team, you will lead the factory readiness and drive program yield with external and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with Engineering, NPI/Sustaining Operations and ODM/OEM teams in order to get high-quality products built, validated, and delivered on time. You’ll coordinate many fast-changing, moving parts and ensure they come together as a product. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, making sound judgments about best practices, quality, and stopping production at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate key focus points and next steps with engineering, vendors, operations, quality, and management
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, enable conflict resolution and constantly balance schedule and cost.
  • Define, drive, and manage the overall program from operational perspective in new Google Hardware products at NPI stage to handover for IN production. Drive production yields and manages DOEs with cross-functional teams and tracks the validation results of the product.
  • Synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at all levels. Improve and maintain processes that ensure team members have what they need to understand and execute on all objectives.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10-15% of the time.
  • Ability to work effectively and manage several tasks at once. Ability to capture the big picture quickly and focus on key points, with a passion for improving processes and plans.
  • Experience shipping high volume/high quality products. Knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and operations planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in program management as a team lead or product design background.
  • Ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against plans.
