Position Summary:
The Geoscience Technologist will report to the Applied Reservoir Management manager and provide support to the Eastern Mediterranean (EMED) subsurface community. The role will support the characterization and development of the EMED assets by providing data management, GIS, and application support. Primary responsibilities will be to implement a data governance model in the EMED to ensure all relevant data is correct, available, and consistent across applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- GIS Support – Maintaining shared reference maps; creating maps/displays
- Coordinating and documenting data receivals and submittals
- Managing the EMED Digital Data Inventory
- Creating and maintaining data structures and naming conventions
- Provide expertise in data loading and export to/from applications
- Managing SharePoint and shared drive data and structures
- Maintaining EMED Studio databases to support Petrel and Techlog
- Creating new or streamlined processes for managing data
Required Education & Experience:
- BS in a Geoscience field
- Experience in data management, Petrel Studio, SharePoint, GIS applications
