Position Summary:
This role is a support to the senior financial accountants in the Wealth Trust Company and will be jointly responsible for delivering timeous and accurate accounting on an ongoing basis to support effective decision making. Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of debtors and creditors
- Calculation and billing of fees charged to service providers and clients
- Liaise with external auditors
- Produces reporting requirements for the business units
- Resolves inter-company mismatches
- Prepare the financial presentation and information for Financial Management meetings
- Takes ownership of the bookkeeping and processing function from General ledger to Trial balance
- Drive process improvements and simplification in the area of accounting
- Generates financial information
- Manage the budget centre reporting and produces a detailed variance report.
- Expense monitoring and control
- Maintains suitable financial control environment
- Prepare payment requests and monitor timeous creditors payments
- Prepares monthly financial reports for management, including variance analysis and commentary by agreed timelines
Required Education & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Atleast 5 years strong technical accounting experience and relevant financial services experience
- Problem solver
- Critical thinker and inquisitive nature
- Advanced excel skills
- Proactive
- B.Comm accounting or similar
