Position Summary:

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with the establishment, coordination, oversight, and execution of funded activities’ compliance with Environmental Historic Preservation (EHP) laws and executive orders. This position starts at a salary of $106,823 (GS-13). Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing, directing, and controlling functions and associated resources related to mission accomplishment.
  • Providing technical and administrative advice and assistance as required to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work.
  • Conducting briefings or presentations to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the execution of policies and procedures to accomplish the assigned mission.
  • Drafting national environmental policies, consultation documents, reports, or impact statements; and
  • Advising senior leadership or subordinates on matters related to environmental and historic preservation; and
  • Planning and establishing short and long-term objectives for assigned projects.
  • Serving as an expert-level advisor, managing a highly complex, professional workload of environmental policy compliance requirements and projects.
  • Establishing and ensuring adherence to schedules and priorities; interprets technical environmental or historic preservation policy, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assessing the impact of environmental or historic preservation laws or regulations on organizational projects; and

Required Education & Experience:

  • You qualify for this position at the GS-13 level (starting salary $106,823) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience.

  • You must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
