Position Summary:
As Fiber Engineer for FPL-Fiber, create/improve standards for materials/processes, update construction/as-built drawings, and implement asset management systems to support the FPL-Fiber Optic Communication Network. This is done by applying FPL knowledge and collaborating with Fiber team SMEs. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with an innovative project that is key for the advancement of our Smart Grid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as a single point of contact for mid-level complexity projects for the department
- Prepares communications and presentations, and conducts meetings
- Works on all aspects of engineering design and permitting
- Delivers company standards, policies, training, and support of organization
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
- Tracks and reports on performance
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Grad / GED
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
- Master’s Degree
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
- Bachelor’s – Engineering
- Six Sigma Master Black Belt
- Experience:2+ years
- Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
